tips Jul 20, 2007 A few tips about first time buyers of kettlebells-one,this item is hot now so most are overpriced-if you look around and hunt for the best price you can find them for sale at a dollar a pound-if you pay more than that you are getting ripped off.second,the weight to select is important-rule of thumb,if you are just adverage pick a bell about one fifth your weight-if your a real strongman or strongwoman go with one fourth your weight.third,know this equipment is not for body sculpting-kettlebells are for power and strength primairly and they are better at building raw power than anything else.
