I read the other reviews where people only received one dumbell. I received two so it appears amazon has the problem corrected.
My only complaint is that the pins used to switch between the different weights can be inconsistent. One will move really easily while another is very hard to move. This can be annoying when your arms and hands are tired from doing a set and now you can't move the pins...

Ordered two and got two... Aug 03, 2006
So as of 4 Aug 2006, the text for this item is incorrect. If you order 1 pair of dumbells, you will get 1 dumbell.
Anyhow, they are great dumbells. I like how the holder hold the extra plates if you aren't using them all, a simple pin slides back and forth so you can select how much weight you want to lift. Very nice.

I just ordered the pair of dumbbells and did indeed receive two for the advertised price. I didn't call Amazon prior - just ordered. Hopefully this means they've fixed the problem that previous reviewers have experienced. So far I'm impressed with the set - sure will be a great space saver!!

Just received the set of two dumbbells Jul 06, 2006
After reading the reviewers complaints on this product because they only received one dumbbell I was hesitant to order. But the price was so good and the description did state that it was a set of two. Before ordering I called Amazon's support phone number and talked to a representative about the other reviews on this product. He assured me that I would receive a set and I wrote down his name just in case. They just arrived today and it was a set of two. So far, they look great and I am happy with my order.

I encountered the same problem as the customers before me. I bought it as a gift for someone....a pair means two! The photo as well depicted two and the trays. After receiving just one dumbbell I emailed amazon and they apologized and said that they would replace the order. Well, again I received one. So I emailed again and said that I would be more then happy to keep the two single in exchange for what was supposed to be a pair. They said that would be fine, but when my credit card bill arrived I was charged $149 twice! I currently have my credit card company disputing the charge. I have always had excellent service with Amazon in the past. This is the first time there has been a problem. I hope that Amazon takes these complaints into consideration and remedies the problem.
